Mallorca, Spain

The kids recently had a week off of school for spring break last week so we just returned from a wonderful trip to Mallorca Spain, one of the Balearic Islands in the mediterranean nestled between the coasts of Spain & Italy.  What an amazing trip!  We had planned this trip way back in November when we were about to enter winter & were dreaming of warmer climates.  So it seems like it has been a long time coming.  Totally worth the wait in every sense.  With the global climate being a little chaotic Kirk has been working some pretty long hours so what a treat that he could get the week off & we boarded a plane, for the first time since arriving in Germany, for another country.  We saw & experienced so many wonderful things.  It was so great to be near the ocean again after 8 months.  The weather was gorgeous but being early April the water was still a little cold...for at least Kirk & my liking.  But the kids braved the ocean & pools.  We saws some of the local sights in Palma & had a really awesome week.  We very reluctantly returned but we know there are more adventures awaiting ahead.  These are some of the things we enjoyed & experienced this past week.........

More pool fun

We took an hour ride (each way) on a 100 year old wooden train to a  quaint town called Soller.  It went through olive, orange & lemon groves & up into the mountains. It was a beautiful ride.
