In early September, over Labor Day weekend, we took a quick trip to Munich Germany in Bavaria about an hour & 1/2 away from Stuttgart. We had originally intended to head to Venice over that time but Kirk's work would not let him go that far away....fortunately this isn't a problem as there is so much to see within a reasonable distance to where we live. We stayed one night & enjoyed going downtown & walking around the Marienplatz & seeing the world famous Hofbrauhaus restaurant, which has a long, rich history & actually held on of the first mass meetings for the Third Reich Movement. We had a very nice trip with beautiful weather. We happened to visit right before the start of Oktoberfest (which actually takes place in September) in Germany. It's an easy city to overlook but I'm glad we didn't.
