Seriously, it really does. It's been a huge year for us moving over seas...HUGE... I don't think that there is a better word to describe this experience. We are so grateful for it & so completely humbled at the same time. As we enter upon a year abroad we have traveled A LOT! We don't want to take a second of our time here for granted. We have all seen things that we could only imagine & have taken more pictures than the card on our camera can hold!! The kids have also transitioned really, really well. Maybe our enthusiasm to be over seas has rubbed off on them but they have both done so great. Not that we haven't had our hiccups & frustrations, all of us, but that is to be expected. We work through those & look back on the pictures of our travels with such admiration & good memories.
Both Alex & Brynn have done very well at their new school this year. Alex has had his first year being marked with actual grades. He's entering upon his third quarter of Honor Roll (shouldn't speak too soon on that) but we are so proud of him. Brynn has high marks as a model citizen, good student & a hard worker. We have definitely had some hurdles socially living on post & being in a DOD school but over all are very pleased with the kids progress. And we appreciate that they have assemblies at the kids school RBEMS to award the students progress in a positive way. No matter what they will never get the travel experiences we have had here compared to any curriculum. And we are so blessed to have the family time!
